Notes:
This genus was placed within the Neotropical genus Echinolaena Desv. by Clayton and Renvoize (1986) and this placement is accepted by Soreng et al. (2013) even though no DNA analysis has yet been carried out (Vorontsova & Rakotoarisoa, 2013). Camus' original reasons for describing this genus seem quite compelling, and until new evidence becomes available supporting lumping it in Echinolaena (or elsewhere) we prefer to maintain it. The three species accepted by Camus also seem quite acceptable.
