  • LT: Pelargonium hirsutum (Burm. f.) Sol. ex Aiton. LT designated by Hanks & J. K. Small, N. Amer. Fl. 25: 23 (25 Aug. 1907). J. J. A. van der Walt & P. J. Vorster, Taxon 30: 307 (16 Mar 1981) argue that the choice of P. hirsutum was made arbitrarily, and that P. cucullatum (L.) W. Aiton, designated by J. J. A. van der Walt, J. S. African Bot. 45: 380 (31 Jul 1979) should be the lectotype species.--Fide ING
