Description Shrub 1.5 m tall; corollas white; anthers yellow; fruits maturing red or yellow. Spanish name: Aji. Quichua name: Ucho. Fruit used for eye infections and coughing.
Locality Along the Río Napo, ca. 20 km E of Puerto Misahualli. 1º01'S, 77º30'W. Elev. ca. 450 m. Primary wet forest and adjacent cultivated fields.
