1. Anthoxanthum odoratum L., Sp. Pl. 28 (1753). Lectotipo (designado por Cope en Jarvis et al., 1993): Anon. (LINN-46.1).

Perennes. Tallos 30-60 cm, glabros. Vainas glabras o retrorsamente pilosas; lígula hasta 4 mm; láminas 5-20 cm x 2-7 mm, auriculadas, glabras o pelosas. Panícula 4-8 cm. Espiguillas 6.5-9 mm, subsésiles, lanceoladas; gluma inferior 3.5-4 mm; gluma superior 6.5-8.5 mm, ovada, acuminada; lemas estériles 2.5-3.2 mm, subiguales, pardas, adpreso hirsutas; flósculo fértil 2-2.5 mm, glabro; anteras 4-5 mm. 2n=20. Potreros húmedos, orillas de caminos. CR (Pohl y Davidse 10533, ISC). 1800-3400 m. (Nativa de Eurasia; introducida en áreas montañosas del Nuevo Mundo.)
