Plants small, yellowish green, moderately glossy, in thin mats. Stems creeping, ca. 10 mm long, irregularly branched; branches flattened, often tapered at the tips; pseudoparaphyllia small, foliose. Leaves somewhat remote, ca. 0.7–0.8 mm long, erect-patent to widely spreading when moist, rather complanate, obovate to oblong-ovate or elliptic, broadly rounded to bluntly obtuse at apex; margins plane above, broadly incurved below, minutely serrulate above, entire below; costae absent; apical leaf cells short, narrowly rhombic; median cells oblong-rhomboidal, flexuose, 10–25 µm × ca. 5 µm, smooth; basal cells oblong to long-rectangular; alar cells not differentiated, but shorter than adjacent cells. Sporophytes and inflorescences not present.
