Acroporium braunii (C. Müll.) Fleisch., Musci Buitenzorg 4: 1278. 1923. Hypnum braunii C. Müll., Syn. Musc. Frond. 2: 687. 1851.
Plants small, densely branched, in low tufts or compact mats. Leaves erecting-spreading to curved, lanceolate, up to 1.5 mm long, acuminate; margins entire, strongly incurved; leaf cells narrowly elongated, 40–60 mm long. Inner perichaetial leaves broadly ovate, abruptly constricted into a shortly acuminate apex, serrulate above. Setae 1.5–2.0 cm long, papillose above.
