Notes     (Last Modified On 5/5/2009)
general taxon notes:
Brachythecium campylothallumis similar to B. salebrosum Broth., but it differs by the homomorphous leaves, entire leaf margins, alar cells extending close to costa at leaf base, and shorter, narrower median leaf cells (55–78 µm × 6–7 µm). In B. salebrosum, stem and branch leaves are heteromorphous; leaf margins are serrulate; alar cells are not extending close to costa at leaf base; and median leaf cells are longer, wider (70–88 µm × 7–9 µm).
