Plants rather large, in loose mats. Stems prostrate, to 6.0–8.5 cm long, regularly pinnately branched, branches 0.7–2.0 cm long, more or less julaceous. Stem and branch leaves similar, broadly ovate-lanceolate or triangular-lanceolate, 1.26–1.58 mm × 0.36–0.60 mm, concave, rather abruptly slenderly acuminate, bi- to multi-plicate; margins entire, slightly incurved, decurrent at base; costae slender, reaching above mid-leaf; median leaf cells 54–75 µm × ca. 7 µm; alar cells developed, extending close to costa at leaf base. Sporophytes not seen.
