Plants medium-sized, rather elongate, soft, in loose mats. Stems prostrate, 4–5 cm long, irregularly pinnately branched, with unequal, elongate branches, to 2 cm long. Stem leaves appressed when dry, spreading when moist, ovate to rounded-triangular, 1.5–1.8 mm × 0.66–0.86 mm, abruptly narrowed to a slender, piliferous apex, not plicate, sometimes concave; margins entire below, bluntly dentate above; costae reaching ca. mid-leaf; median leaf cells linear-rhomboidal to linear, 55–80 µm × 7–10 µm, with rounded ends, thin-walled; alar cells distinctly developed, extending close to costa at leaf base, quadrate or shortly rectangular; branch leaves ovate-lanceolate, narrower, smaller than stem leaves, 1.31–1.67 mm × 0.36–0.68 mm, slightly concave; costae ending at or slightly beyond mid-leaf. Dioicous. Perichaetial leaves lanceolate, ca. 2.0 mm long. Setae ca. 10–15 mm long, smooth; capsules inclined, ovoid to ellipsoidal; peristome not seen. Spores not seen.
