Plants slender, elongate, yellowish green, somewhat glossy, in loose mats. Stems prostrate, 6–7 cm long, pinnately branched, with short branches, ca. 0.5 cm long, julaceous when dry. Stem and branch leaves similar, narrowly ovate-lanceolate, 1.82–2.07 mm × 0.50–0.59 mm, slightly concave, rarely plicate, gradually, slenderly acuminate at apex, constricted at base; margins entire below, distinctly serrulate above; costae ending above mid-leaf; median leaf cells linear, 51–85 µm × 6–7 µm, thin-walled; alar cells well developed, quadrate or shortly rectangular, thin-walled. Dioicous. Perichaetial leaves lanceolate, often with slender, twisted apices. Setae ca. 15 mm long, reddish brown, smooth; capsules inclined to horizontal, elongate-ellipsoidal, necks indistinct; opercula shortly conic-rostrate; peristome double; endostome segments shorter than exostome teeth; basal membrane high; cilia 2, nodulose. Spores ca. 10 µm in diameter, smooth.
