25. Brachythecium pinnirameum Müll. Hal.   华北青藓   hua bei qing xian
Nuovo Giorn. Bot. Ital., n.s., 3: 126. 1896. Type: China. Shaanxi, July 1894, Giraldi s.n.
 
Plants rather robust, elongate, yellowish green, in loose mats. Stems prostrate, 6–8 cm long, densely pinnately branched, julaceous, with branches ca. 1.0 cm long, more or less attenuate at tips. Stem leaves densely imbricate when dry, spreading when moist, triangularly lanceolate, 1.98–2.57 mm × 0.68–0.77 mm, concave, bi-plicate, cordate, slenderly acuminate at apex, strongly decurrent at bases; margins entire; costae slender, nearly percurrent; median leaf cells linear, 70–115 µm × 4–6 µm, with angled ends; alar cells differentiated, shortly elliptical or rectangular; branch leaves narrowly ovate-lanceolate, 1.37–1.60 mm × 0.38–0.50 mm, with slender or somewhat twisted apices. Sporophytes not seen.
