Plants medium-sized, yellowish green, glossy, in loose or dense mats. Stems prostrate, regularly pinnately branched; branches ca. 0.5 cm long. Stem leaves broadly ovate to oblong-ovate, 1.65–2.12 mm × 0.80–0.91 mm, concave, bi-plicate, rather abruptly narrowed to a slender, twisted apex, reflexed, slightly decurrent at base; margins entire; costae slender, ca. 1/2 the leaf length; median leaf cells linear, 55–67 µm × 6–8 µm, with angled ends, thin-walled; alar cells rounded-quadrate to rounded-hexagonal, somewhat thick-walled, in a large group, extending close to costa at leaf base; branch leaves ovate-lanceolate, 1.02–1.71 mm × 0.38–0.61 mm. Sporophytes not seen.
