Plants small, yellowish brown, glossy, in dense mats. Stems prostrate, subpinnately branched, 1–2 mm wide with leaves; branches short, up to 10 mm long, complanate. Stem leaves erect-spreading ca. 2 mm long, oblong-lanceolate, constricted into a short or long acuminate apex, often erect, sometimes falcate; irregularly serrulate at apex, branch leaves narrower than stem leaves, ca. 1.75 mm long, slightly falcate, concave, shortly acuminate or narrowly obtuse, with serrate apex; margins serrulate above; leaf cells linear, 90–120 µm long; alar cells inflated, colored. Inner perichaetial leaves ovate-lanceolate, up to 2.5 mm long, long acuminate, margins serrulate below, serrate at apex. Setae elongate, smooth, 2.5–3.0 cm long; capsules ellipsoidal to cylindrical, ca. 2 mm long, inclined; opercula long rostrate.
