Symb. Sin. 4: 115. 1929. Type: China. Yunnan, Salwin, Handel-Mazzetti 7817, 8101 (syntypes H).
Plants slender, soft, brownish green, glossy, in loose mats. Stems prostrate, sparsely foliate, irregularly branched, rarely complanate, attenuate at branch tips, often with clustered rhizoids. All leaves shortly ovate-lanceolate, 1.4–1.6 mm × 0.6–0.9 mm, concave, slightly decurrent, abruptly acuminate at apex; margins plane, entire; costae short, slender, unequal in length; median leaf cells linear-rhomboidal, 75–96 µm × 9.6–12.0 µm; basal cells lax, elliptical, hyaline; alar regions decurrent, consisting of narrowly rectangular cells. Autoicous. Inner perichaetial leaves highly sheathing at base. Sporophytes not seen.
