Plants small, similar to T. boschii, light green. Stems irregularly branched; branches ca. 0.75 mm wide with leaves. Leaves ovate to ovate-lanceolate, 1.2–1.4 mm × 0.4–0.5 mm; margins plane, sometimes reflexed above, acute to acuminate, weakly serrulate; leaf cells elongate-rhomboidal to linear, upper cells 25–42 µm × 5.5–8.5 µm, median cells 55–80 µm × 4–7 µm, lower cells 50–70 µm, thick-walled, unipapillose; alar cells inflated, hyaline. Inner perichaetial leaves oblong-lanceolate, long acuminate, weakly serrulate; cells indistinctly papillose. Setae ca. 1 mm long, indistinctly papillose above, smooth below; capsules cylindrical, ca. 1.3 mm × 0.7 mm; peristome double; exostome teeth lanceolate, ca. 43 µm × 16 µm.
