Plants slender, lax, dark yellowish green. Stems prostrate, up to 5 cm long, densely pinnately branched, branches ca. 6 mm long. Stem leaves and branch leaves similar, complanate, remotely arranged, somewhat biseriate, ovate-lanceolate, ca. 0.8 mm long, concave, gradually acuminate; margins plane, serrulate; costae double, short; leaf cells shortly rhomboidal, 15–24 µm × 5–6 µm, strongly prorate, thick-walled. Dioicous. Perichaetial leaves laciniate at margins. Setae erect, purple, smooth, ca. 7 mm long; capsules very small, ovoid, erect or suberect, with distinct short neck, constricted below the mouth when dry; opercula shortly rostrate; annuli developed, in 2 rows; peristome teeth narrowly lanceolate, brownish. Calyptrae not seen. Spores spherical, smooth.
