Plants slender, medium-sized, dark green or yellowish green, glossy. Stems prostrate, 1.5–2.0 cm long, sparsely subpinnately branched, complanate, with branches 3–5 mm long, attenuate at tips, slightly curved when dry. Stem leaves triangularly ovate, 0.5–1.0 mm × 0.3–0.5 mm; margins entire or minutely serrulate; costae absent; median leaf cells linear, 80–90 µm × 4–6 µm; apical cells shorter; alar cells numerous, quadrate to shortly rectangular, extending close to costa at leaf base; branch leaves oblong-elliptical. Autoicous. Setae 10–15 mm long, reddish brown; capsules erect, symmetric, 0.6–1.9 mm long; columella persistent, connected to operculum; opercula long conic-rostrate; annuli well developed, consisting of 2 rows of inflated cells; exostome teeth lanceolate, orange-brown, ca. 220 µm long, ca. 40 µm wide at base, papillosely cross-striolate in basal 1–3 plates, obliquely or vertically papillose-striolate above, smooth at tips; endostome segments linear, as long as the teeth, smooth. Spores spherical, 10–12 µm in diameter, coarsely papillose.
