Plants medium-sized, pale yellowish, glossy, in dense mats. Stems prostrate, to 3–4 cm long, sparsely pinnately branched; branches complanate. Stem and branch leaves similar, broadly ovate-lanceolate, 1.6–3.0 mm long, rather abruptly narrowed to a slender acumen, constricted at leaf base; margins plane, entire or indistinctly serrulate at apex; costae double, very short or absent; median leaf cells linear, 60–70 µm × 5–6 µm; apical cells slightly shorter; alar cells numerous, quadrate. Autoicous. Perichaetial leaves sheathing at base, acuminate toward apex. Setae 10–15 mm long, yellowish; capsules erect, elongate-ellipsoidal, symmetric or slightly asymmetric.
