5. Isopterygium propaguliferum Toy.   芽胞同叶藓   ya bao tong ye xian
Acta Phytotax. Geobot. 7: 106. 1938. Type: Japan.
Plants medium-sized, yellowish green, glossy. Stems prostrate, subpinnately branched; branches short, ascending; propagula present on branches, gemmae club shaped, 40–65 µm, on the tips of branches. Leaves dense, erect-spreading, with rhizoids growing on leaf tips, rounded ovate or ovate-lanceolate, 0.7–1.0 mm × 0.30–0.35 mm, slightly concave, suddenly bent to slenderly acuminate or filiform at apex; margins plane, serrulate, recurved at base; costae absent; upper and median leaf cells elongate-rhomboidal, 40–45 µm × 4.5 µm, thick-walled, more or less porose; basal cells broader, thick-walled; alar cells small, shortly rectangular or elliptic. Setae elongate, 15–20 mm; capsules horizontal or inclined, shortly cylindrical, ca. 1.7 mm × 0.63 mm; opercula shortly rostrate; annuli not seen; peristome hypnoid, with 1 cilia. Spores not seen.
