2. Leptohymenium tenue (Hook.) Schwaegr.   薄膜藓   bao mo xian
Sp. Musc. Frond., Suppl. 1, 3 (1): 246c. 1828. Stenothecium tenue (Hook.) C. Müll. in Paris, Index Bryol. (ed. 2) 4: 320. 1905. Neckera tenuis Hook., Trans. Linn. Soc. London 9: 315. 1808. Type: Nepal.
Plants robust, stiff, brownish, glossy, in dense mats. Main stems creeping, 1.5–2.0 cm long; secondary stems erect or ascending, usually subdendroidly branched, 1.5–3.0 cm long; branches naked or with few leaves at base, densely foliate above. Leaves erect-spreading or spreading, oblong-lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, ca. 1.47 mm × 0.74 mm, concave, shortly acute, serrulate at apex; costae double, short; laminal cells elongate-rhomboidal, ca. 38 µm × 7 mm, prorate; basal juxtacostal cells short, irregularly rectangular; alar cells differentiated, ca. 19 µm × 12 mm, irregularly rectangular, hyaline. Setae thin, erect, 2.5–3.0 cm long; capsules erect, symmetrical, ovoid to shortly cylindrical, 3–4 mm × 1.0–1.5 mm; opercula conic, shortly rostrate, sometimes obliquely rostrate; peristome features the same as for the genus.
