3. Gammiella pterogonioides (Griff.) Broth.   厚角藓   hou jiao xian
Nat. Pflanzenfam. I(3): 1067. 1908. Pleuropus pterogonioides Griff., Calcutta J. Nat. Hist. 3: 274. pl. 20. 1843[1842]. Type: Sikkim. Churra, Griffith 167.
 
Plants large, in loose mats. Main stems creeping, irregularly branched; branches ca. 10 mm long, 1.2–2.0 mm wide. Leaves imbricately arranged, erect, sometimes curved, ovate to oblong-lanceolate, 1.25–1.75 mm long, concave, weakly plicate, apex abruptly narrowed or short; margins entire, narrowly involute, dentate near tips; leaf cells narrowly rhomboidal to elongated, 50–70 µm long, gradually becoming shorter toward apex; alar cells colored or hyaline, quadrate or rectangular, thick-walled. Inner perichaetial leaves large and erect, narrowly lanceolate, acuminate. Setae slender, more than 1 cm long; capsules suberect, shortly cylindrical, ca. 1.1 mm long.
