1. Gyroweisia yuennanensis Broth.  云南圆口藓 yun-nan yuan-kou xian
Symb. Sin. 4: 31. 1929. Type. China: Yunnan, Yang-bi Co., Handel-Mazzetti 13008 (holotype H).
Plants rather small, less than 5 mm high, yellowish green, in dense tufts. Stems very short, only ca. 0.8 mm long, simple, densely foliate. Leaves lanceolate with a broad base, gradually acuminate at the apex; margins plane, entire; costa stout, ending near the apex; upper leaf cells quadrate to hexagonal, somewhat thick-walled, smooth; basal cells rectangular, thin-walled, smooth. Dioicous. Setae ca. 2 mm long; capsules erect, elliptic-cylindrical; peristome teeth short, densely papillose. Spores spherical, smooth.
