36a. Bryum recurvulum var. recurvulum   弯叶真藓原变种   wan ye zhen xian yuan bian zhong
 
Plants small to medium-sized, ca. 10–30 mm high, yellowish brown, slightly reddish, in loose tufts. Stems usually simple or sometimes branched by innovations. Leaves appressed when dry, not twisted, oblong-ovate to elliptical, shortly acuminate, ca. 2.5 mm long, cucullate above; margins entire, strongly recurved throughout, distinctly bordered by 2–3 rows of linear cells, yellowish brown; costae shortly excurrent; median leaf cells rhomboidal to linear-rhomboidal, 35–60 µm × 9–13 µm, slightly to rather thick-walled; basal cells nearly rectangular, reddish. Dioicous. Perichaetial leaves triangular-lanceolate, ca. 1.2 mm long. Setae 12–22 mm long, curved, reddish brown; capsules reddish, horizontal to pendulous when dry, horizontal when moist, pyriform; neck short, deeply brownish; opercula cucullate; exostome teeth yellowish brown; cilia 3. Spores 8–12 µm in diameter.
