Homomallium leskeoides Sak., Bot. Mag. (Tokyo) 46: 384. 1932.
Plants slender, yellowish green, somewhat glossy, in densely tufted patches. Stems creeping, with rhizoids at base, densely and irregularly branched; branches ca. 5 cm long, erect. Stem leaves and branch leaves similar, ovate- or oblong- to ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, concave, 0.8–1.2 mm × 0.20–0.35 mm; margins plane or slightly incurved above, entire; costae double, ca. 1/4 the leaf length; median and upper leaf cells rhomboidal to narrowly rhomboidal, 30–45 µm × 3–4 µm, prorate; alar cells numerous, quadrate, obscure, 4–6 rows, with 15–25 cells extending along the margins. Autoicous. Inner perichaetial leaves oblong- to ovate-lanceolate, gradually acuminate, subentire or serrulate, costae double, ca. 1/3 the leaf length. Setae 1.0–1.5 cm long, yellowish brown or reddish brown; capsules horizontal, 1.6 mm × 0.7 mm, curved and constricted below the mouth when dry; opercula conic, slenderly rostrate; perfect double peristome, with 1–2 cilia. Spores 10–12 µm in diameter, nearly smooth.
