Plants slender, yellowish green, somewhat glossy, in dense patches. Stems creeping, with many reddish brown rhizoids at base; irregularly or subpinnately branched; branches erect or curved, ca. 2–4 mm long. Stem leaves and branch leaves similar, concave, broadly ovate-lanceolate, suddenly narrowed to a slenderly acuminate apex, 0.9 mm × 0.3 mm; margins entire, slightly recurved; costae double, short, occasionally single or indistinct; median and upper leaf cells narrowly rhomboidal to linear-rhomboidal, 40–50 µm × 4 µm, prorate; basal cells yellowish; alar cells small, brownish, in 3–5 rows, with 6–13 cells extending along the margins. Autoicous. Perichaetial leaves broadly ovate-lanceolate, serrulate near the apex, costae double. Setae ca. 1.1 cm long, reddish brown, smooth; capsules horizontal, asymmetric, oblong-ovoid, 1.3 mm × 0.6 mm; perfect double peristome with 1–2 cilia. Spores 15–20 µm in diameter, minutely papillose.
