1b. Campylopus atrovirens var. cucullatifolius J.-P. Frahm   长叶曲柄藓兜叶变种 chang-ye qu-bing xian dou-ye bian-zhong 
Bryologist 83: 574. 1980 [1981]. Type. U.S.A.: Alaska, Eyerdam 5269.
Plants of this variety are similar to those of Campylopus atrovirens var. atrovirens except that they are often found to be brownish green and to have stem leaves with cucullate tips. The tips of its perichaetial leaves are often found to be hyaline hairpointed although those of the stem leaves are sometimes also hyaline hairpointed.
