Plants epiphytic. Primary stems prostrate, with dense rhizoids nearly throughout; secondary stems erect, ca. 2 cm high. Leaves crowded at top of stems, broadly ovate, elliptical, obovate or spathulate, 3.5–5.0 mm × 2.0–2.5 mm, abruptly acute at apex, often shortly apiculate, narrowed at base; margins entire, narrowly bordered; costae ending above mid-leaf; leaf cells rounded-hexagonal to elliptical, 37–65 µm × 25–35 µm, thin-walled, porose. Dioicous. Setae solitary, ca. 1.0–1.5 cm long, mammillose; capsules erect, cylindrical, ca. 2–4 mm long; opercula rostrate. Calyptrae reddish, smooth.
