Plants rather robust, green or yellowish green. Stems up to 10 cm long, branches short; pseudoparaphyllia triangular-lanceolate. Leaves loose, imbricately arranged, ovate or oblong-elliptic, suddenly acute or shortly acuminate, ca. 3.5 mm × 1.3 mm, somewhat concave; margins entire, serrulate above the midleaf; costae double or forked, reaching about 1/3 the leaf length; median leaf cells linear, 100–130 µm × 9–12 µm, upper cells shorter, thick-walled, apical cells 65–85 µm × 12–16 µm; basal cells rectangular; alar cells not differentiated. Sporophytes not seen.
