Plants similar var. recurvulum. Leaves lanceolate; costae thick, shortly excurrent; leaf cells thick-walled, porose. Dioicous. Setae ca. 25 mm long, slender, curved; capsules small, pendulous; neck as long as urn; mouth constricted; opercula conic, shortly apiculate; peristome dark reddish brown; cilia well developed, nodulose.
