6. Atrichum yakushimense (Horik.) Miz.   东亚仙鹤藓   dong ya xian he xian
J. Jap. Bot. 31: 119. 1956. Catharinea yakushimensis Horik., Bot. Mag. (Tokyo) 50: 560. f. 38. 1936. Type: Japan.
Plants small, 1.0–1.5 cm high, green, dark green or brownish green, usually terrestrial. Stems single, short. Leaves crisped when dry, erect spreading when moist, not undulate, lingulate, 5–7 mm × 1.1 mm, broader above midleaf, acute at apex, spines sparse on the back; margins bordered by 1–2 rows of elongate cells, bi-toothed; costa single, ending below the apex; lamellae rudimentary or only 1–2(–3) cells high; median leaf cells rounded oval, 17–28 µm wide, slightly thick-walled, often with trigones; basal cells quadrate or rectangular. Dioicous. Setae straight, 2–3 cm long; capsules cylindrical, slightly curved, usually single; peristome teeth 32; opercula conic, long beaked. Calyptrae cucullate, smooth, with a few short cilia at the apex. Spores spherical, 12–16 µm in diameter, verrucose.
