April 25 to May 1, 2010 - AETFAT 2010. The "Association pour l'Etude Taxonomique de la Flore d'Afrique Tropicale" or "Association for the Taxonomic Study of the Flora of Tropical Africa" held its 19th Congress at the Centre of International Conferences, in Ivato, Madagascar (20 km from Antananarivo). The congress provided us with an important showcase for the Madagascar Catalogue.A total of 18 scientific presentations (oral and posters) on different research areas undertaken by the project personnel at the congress.

Mar. 1, 2010: The Madagascar Catalogue formally switched to delivery through "Projects" - the new eflora facility in TROPICOS. At that moment it comprised treatments (completed or in progress) for:

Sept. 1, 2005: Marina Rabarimanarivo, Jeannie Raharimampionona and Nivo Rakotonirina join the Catalogue team, they are staff of MBG-Madagascar.

Aug. 24, 2005: The Madagascar Catalogue was presented to the Scientific and Conservation community at the 'Toit de Tana', Hilton Hotel, Antananarivo.

July 17-23, 2005: XVII International Botanical Congress, Vienna: Poster Presentation of the Madagascar Catalogue

June 16, 2005: Family outline for the Catalogue complete and available online.

May 25, 2005: Major revisions to functionality of the eflora completed

Jan. 1, 2005: Anne-Elizabeth Wolf joins the Catalogue team, she is based in Paris

June 18, 2004: Prototype Catalogue went online at efloras.org with small sample data set.

Sept. 26, 2003: The Madagascar Catalogue concept presented at the 17th Congress of AETFAT (Association for the Taxonomic Study of the Flora of Tropical Africa).

Jan. 1, 2003: Phillipson joins Missouri Botanical Garden staff.

Nov. 2001: Schatz and Phillipson discuss the possibility of teaming up to develop the Catalogue in Antananarivo while drinking THB.
