Description	Liana to 7 m in length growing in ridge top vegetation. Spines lost on old stem; leaves dark green, flowers lilac, stamens yellow, calyx and pedical medium green, fruit globose, shiny red at maturity, to 11 mm diameter. 1050 m. `Vahingivy'. Photo and seed colection. 5 March 1992.
Locality	Parc National Ranomafana, S of Namorona river, trail to primatologist camp at Vatoranana.
