Description
|
Understory tree, slender, first branches at 2 m high. Slightly weeping in habit. Fruit ovoid 1.5 cm long, 1.3 cm wide (at widest point). Immature fruits a pale green. Mature fruits orange. Quite frequent in the forest, thin specimen was growing close to the sea. Same as CB46? Fruits eaten by black lemurs.

Lokobe (Réserve Naturelle Intégrale), Nossi Be. S side of reserve: "study site", 5 km SE of Hell Ville. Lowland evergreen rainforest.
