Description
|
Treelet 2.5 m. DBH=8 cm. Bark greyish brown. Petioles and peduncles becoming "woody". Leaves spirally arranged, light green above, lighter green below. Fruit light green and covered with fine silver trichomes. Persistent calyx green. Petals dry and brown in fruit. (alcohol sample + photo + silica gel)

Locality
|
Ibity massif, ca. 2-3 km E of the cimiterie d'Ibity. Narrow tract of disturbed forest along mountain stream of Falirano. Steep slope on quartzite. Collected with Richard Razakamalala, Reza Ludovic, J. Rakotondrafara (guide) and B. Rakotonirina (guide). Specimens preserved in alcohol.
