Description Small twining herb to c. 0.5 m tall. Leaves deep green, with depressed veins above, paler with soft whitish hairs especially on the veins beneath. Flowers in short axillary racemes; calyx pale green, 4-lobed, very hairy, the lobes upswept. Standard lemon yellow; wings deeper yellow; keel green. Pods oblong, laterally depressed between the seeds, very white-hairy.
Locality C. 3 km SW of Sainte Marie, just west of Réserve Integrale Naturelle no. 7, Ankarafantsika. Open grassland, with scattered small trees, on red lateritic soil.
